The Hotel was opened in 1960 by a tourism pioneer and legend, Jimmy Perez, with 8 rooms. In 2007 it was renovated and the capacity was extended to 17 rooms with a marvelous view of the waterfront.

The location of the hotel is another plus for the guests. It is situated in the center of Puerto Ayora and on Academic Bay, which provides a spectacular view of the ocean. Since the staff is a professional team composed of former tourist guides, who speaks Spanish, English and Hebrew and who will be more than happy to provide their guests valuable travel information.
