Trip to the Galapagos Islands
All Inclusive Galapagos Vacation Package
7 days / 6 nights
Day 1. Arrival to Galapagos & Tortoise Reserve (L/ D)
After flying to Galapagos Islands and upon arrival to Santa Cruz, you will meet the Finch Bay staff. Then you start your trip to the Galapagos Islands as you head into the higher altitudes at El Manzanillo Reserve, where you are going to learn more about the iconic Galapagos giant tortoise. You'll also see lots of vegetation and a piece of the amazing biodiversity of this side of the island. After lunch, you go to Puerto Ayora to board the hotel's private fiberglass boat to cross to the hotel. You have the afternoon to rest, use the pool, or go to the beach. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 2: Bartolome Island (B/ L /D)
After breakfast, you will go to Puerto Ayora and from there to one of the youngest islands in the Galapagos, Bartolome Island, which is home to the emblematic Pinnacle Rock. There you can find not only great views, but also the cute Galapagos penguins! Sea lions rest close to the water so you can see them on the land or in the water while you snorkel, and sometimes there are hawks flying around too.
After this adventure, you will have a short walk to see more of the island and learn about its volcanic processes. Lunch will be served on board. Once these activities are finished, you return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the next day. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 3: Tortuga Bay and Charles Darwin Research Station (B/ L /D)
You start your day with a tasty breakfast and continue with your Galapagos Islands activities. First, you'll visit one of the most beautiful beaches not only of the Galapagos but of all of Ecuador. You go to Puerto Ayora and after a 2km walk, you arrive at Tortuga Bay Beach, which has a great environment and wonderful views that make it a remarkable place. You can choose from several activities, like learning to surf, bird watching, seeing the nesting grounds of different species, and exploring how the ecosystem changes from this beach to the neighboring beach at "Playa Mansa."
You return to the hotel for lunch, and in the afternoon you'll visit the Charles Darwin Research Station. After this, you'll have time on your own to relax at the hotel or go to the town to buy some Galapagos souvenirs. Dinner will be served at Finch Bay Hotel.
Day 4: Transfer from Santa Cruz to Isabela Island - Scalesia Lodge (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, you will go the port and take the public speedboat to Scalesia Lodge. Upon arrival, our staff will welcome you and check you in. You start your trip at Isabela by going to Las Tintoreras, where you can see different kind of animals such as marine iguanas, sea lions, and penguins and take a refreshing swim or snorkel if you want.
Then you'll go to the lodge for lunch, and in the afternoon depart for our second excursion to "Los Humedales", a magic area where four species of mangroves grow in harmony and make for great landscapes. At the end of the trail, you will find El Muro de las Lagrimas (The Wall of Tears), where you will learn more about the Galapagos history. You'll return to the hotel for a delicious dinner.
Day 5: Isabela Island – Los Tuneles and Beach (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, you depart for the first visit of the day – Los Tuneles. These volcanic tunnels were formed by lava flows but these ones in particular also have a unique touch because of the waves' impact. This site also hosts all four species of mangroves in the Galapagos, and offers great views of the boobies that inhabit this area.
This is an amazing place to find green sea turtles, sea lions, parrot fish, manta rays, and more, so we really recommend snorkeling here. After this encounter with nature, you'll return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, it is beach time! You can enjoy the quiet beaches of Puerto Villamil and at night dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 6: Isabela Island – Volcan Chico & Sierra Negra (B/ BL/ D)
After breakfast, you will hike through some amazing active volcanoes. You'll see one of the most active volcanoes in the Galapagos, whose crater is recorded as the 2nd largest in the world – the Sierra Negra, which had activity as recently as 2005. The adventure continues at Volcan Chico, which dazzles us sometimes with sulfuric events that you might witness. You will have a filling box lunch in the area while you enjoy the nature. In the afternoon, you return to the lodge, and after dinner you can rest up for the next day.
Day 7: Transfer out – Return home
After a delicious breakfast, our staff will transfer you to Puerto Ayora and then to the airport for your flight home.End of services
