Since the total number of boats cruising the Galapagos is strictly controlled by the Galapagos National Park, seven older and lower priced vessels will be retired from service. The good news is that there have never been so many new high-quality vessels staffed with the best guides and chefs, but on the negative side, the price of the average cruise to the Galapagos is going up significantly with the new yachts coming on line.
