Sample Program: 5 days / 4 nights
Day 1: Baltra Island, North Seymour, Santa Cruz Island
You will arrive at the Baltra Airport in the morning, where you will be greeted by the friendly guides and naturalists who will lead you directly to the yacht. While you cruise to North Seymour Island, you will enjoy your lunch on board.
North Seymour Island is a great place to take in the wonders of nature, especially the largest nesting site of the well-known Magnificent Frigatebirds.
From here, you will travel to Santa Cruz Island and take a bus south to the Finch Bay Hotel, where you can appreciate the Galapagos’ true beauty from its beachfront location. This is where you will be staying during your time in the Galapagos.
Day 2: Santa Cruz Island
After eating breakfast at the hotel, you will journey by bus to El Manzanillo tortoise migration path, in the highlands of Santa Cruz. This is where you will spend the rest of your morning, as you get to know the amazing wildlife that calls this area home.
Lunch will be served while you are enjoying the panoramic view of the islands that Santa Cruz’s highlands offer. Afterwards, you will visit a working farm, where you will witness the organic and sustainable harvesting of cocoa, sugar cane, and coffee.
The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy as you’d like. We recommend relaxing, but if you’re looking for more adventures and activities, our staff is happy to help you plan the best ones.
Day 3: Santa Fe
Our journey to Santa Fe will put you at one with nature. It hosts turquoise lagoons and sheltered coves that create an ideal habitat for many unique endemic species of the Galapagos. You are sure to fill your camera card here, as you see the Galapagos Hawk, Sea Lions, the giant prickly pear cactus, and enormous brown and yellow land iguanas.
Day 4: Santa Cruz
Today is your chance to see the marvels of the underwater world. Divine Reef is surrounded by mangrove swamps, volcanic reefs, and lava-made cliffs. You can access the island by Finch Bay’s boat, or even tandem kayaks, for the more adventurous explorers. Following this is a trip to the Punto Estrada dock, which gives you a good landing to explore the surrounding area.
After lunch, we will take you to the Charles Darwin Research Station, where you can watch and learn about their tortoise breeding program. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy in the bustling Puerto Ayora scene.
Day 5: Departure
On your final day in the Galapagos, you will head to Twin Craters, where you will see a unique geological site formed by two gradually sinking depressions of volcanic material. From here, you will take a plane from Baltra Island back to the mainland.
